Anica CoetseePhysiotherapist Bsc.Physiotherapy (Hons)APPI Pilates Trained
Anica qualified as a physiotherapist in 2009 from the University of Stellenbosch. In 2011 she started working in private practice and developed a strong interest in treating Orthopedic and Sports conditions. In 2012 she completed an OMT (Orthopedic and Manipulative Therapy) certificate and thereafter her two-year Masters degree. She moved to London with her husband in 2015 and started her Pilates journey with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) completing all mat work modules. While working with a physiotherapy and Pilates practice, she was also trained in using Pilates equipment.
Anica has worked in different private practice settings that have included hospital work and she has always embraced working closely with the whole healthcare team to optimise patient care. She believes in treating holistically with the aim being getting to the cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. She believes movement and exercises are key factors in this and loves empowering her patients to get back to the things they love.
Since becoming a mother in 2018 her interest in Women’s Health has increased and she is working towards further post-graduate training in this area.
